Ramadan raceipe


**Lentil Soup:**


- 1 cup red lentils, rinsed

- 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth

- 1 onion, chopped

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 carrot, diced

- 1 tsp ground cumin

- 1/2 tsp turmeric

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Olive oil

- Fresh lemon juice

- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish


1. In a large pot, sautΓ© the onion and garlic in olive oil until softened.

2. Add the lentils, broth, carrot, cumin, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 20-30 minutes, or until the lentils are tender.

3. Use an immersion blender to blend the soup until smooth. Alternatively, blend in batches in a regular blender.

4. Adjust seasoning if needed, and add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley.



Serve the lentil soup with whole grain bread or pita for a complete meal that provides protein, fiber, and essential nutrients to help you stay full and satisfied until Suhoor.
